Biography
FA UEFA C Tutor and University course lead & lecturer.
Current course lead and lecturer in MSc Performance Football Coaching at St Mary’s University and previous lecturer in Football Coaching at UCFB Wembley, supporting students with modules including effective coaching practice, performance analysis, football development and management.
I have research interests related to theories of effective learning in education and coaching settings, as well as a background in sports psychology for which I have an undergraduate and postgraduate degree. These interests have shaped a coaching philosophy centred on using games and constraints as the basis for session design.
I have 15 years’ experience as a coach across a range of settings including professional clubs, notably Fulham FC and Brighton & Hove Albion FC, the school’s sector, university, and coaching in the community project alongside numerous volunteering positions at several grassroots clubs.
I am hugely passionate about coach development and education, currently an UEFA C coach developer and having held roles as an FA Mentor, Tutor and former Head of Education and Workforce at Surrey FA.
